We have a new addition at Hound Couture... meet our new Nest Bed!
 
The Design:
 
We've been asked for quite a while now for a bed that's suitable for flat-faced breeds and dogs that don't like to be covered. Our new Nest Bed does just that. It's high bolster bumpers offer protection and comfort, allowing your dog to rest their head against the sides of the bed for additional support. They feel relaxed and at ease,  with research indicating that this replicates the feeling of nesting with their littermates. It's practical, completely washable and the inside liners containing the filling are made from waterproof fabric. Perfect if your dog often gets wet on walks or has little accidents- nothing will seep through to the filling. 
 
The Materials:
 
Our Nest Bed is handcrafted from our bestselling Snuggle Bed material on the outer side walls and plush ivory cuddle fleece on the inner side walls. You have the options of Cloud Grey, Sand, Mauve or Blossom colourways. The central cushion is reversible so you can pick which fabric you would like to face outwards, either the outer colour selected, or the ivory fleece. We've finished the bed with our Hound Couture branding label and the edges are topstitched. 

With a mix of memory foam particle and hollowfibre filling, you'll find that our Nest Bed is firm yet extremely comfortable. Unlike cheaper alternatives, we use plenty of filling and the cover is completely detachable and washable. We felt it was really important to develop a bed that could be easily washed... our pooches always get muddy paws so it was a no-brainer for us!

Our newly developed waterproof inner liner repels any moisture, so no accidents or wetness can seep through to the filling, meaning a fresher smelling bed for longer. 
 
 
Wash Care:
 
Firstly remove the central cushion that your dog sits on. You will find a zip along the edge of this which can be undone to remove the waterproof inner cushion.
 
Next, with the main bed on a flat surface, flip it inside out. Each side of the bed has a zip along the bottom edge. There are 4 in total. When unzipped, each side contains a waterproof bolster cushion. Ease these cushions out gently one at a time. After removing all inner cushions you can place these to one side. Ensure that all zips are fastened closed and put both the central cushion cover and outer bed cover in the wash. We recommend washing at 30 degrees and not using any fabric conditioner. The inner waterproof cushions can be wiped down with antibacterial spray if soiled.
