Our Leads are 110cm long and are available with three different sizes of swivel hook- Small, Medium and Large. We recommend that you choose a lead suitable for your dog's size. As a general rule, we would suggest the below:
- Small is offered in a 16mm width lead and is suitable for very small breeds such as a Maltese, Yorkshire Terriers etc.
- Medium is offered in a 20mm width lead and is suitable for small to medium breeds such as Westies, Schnauzer, Beagle, Collie or Standard Dachshund etc.
- Large is offered in a 25mm width lead and is suitable for larger breeds. These include Labrador, Golden Retriever, German Sheperds, Boxer etc.
Please see the listing photograph for a comparison of the three different swivel hook sizes placed next to each other. Small has a 2 inch long swivel hook, Medium 2.5 inches and Large just over 3 inches.
We never take safety for granted at Hound Couture. Each lead has a strong webbing core and you will find topstitching around all of the edges for extra security. We only source the best hardware- our swivel hooks are extremely robust, made from a zinc die cast metal for extra strength. We treat all of our collars and leads with a stain and water repellent too to help to keep them looking newer for longer.

As we make all of our collars and leads to order, please allow 7 working days for us to make and dispatch your goods. We will always try our best to deliver sooner than this time frame; however, this depends on how busy our studio is.
- For the UK, we offer First Class Signed for delivery, costing £3.50
- For the rest of the world, we offer International Tracked and Signed for delivery, costing £10.50

If your doggies are anything like ours, they will love to get wet and muddy! Here are some guidelines on how to wash our products.
We treat all of our collars and leads with a stain and water repellent to help to keep them looking newer for longer. The treatment prevents against any stains and makes your collar/lead easier to clean.
When you do choose to wash your Hound Couture collar or lead, we recommend a gentle hand-wash in detergent, making sure to avoid scrubbing the fabric with anything abrasive. Rinse and dry your collar or lead flat and away from high heat. Do not tumble dry.
If your dog likes swimming in salty water then we advice you to give your collar a light rinse under running water to get rid of any salt build-up.
Please note that we cannot be held responsible for chewed clasps or buckles. It is the buyer's responsibility to check for any signs of wear and tear on your collars and leads. Please stop using the product if this becomes the case.
